Front view taken in summer of 1998
This is what it looked like when I first Got it.
Spaldam's Vision of an 88 1/2 Daytona Helby Z This is a modification of the picture on the previous page with some ideas added in that I have to modify the front end looks, and to help more air flow to the radiator and inter cooler.  Basically what I want to end up with is an 89 Shelby Z (even though they don't exist) that was actually manufactured in the later part of '87 with some parts off an 89 Daytona.  I have a few other minor body modifications I have in mind as well, one of which includes changing the paint color.  I haven't decided on what color I want exactly, but I'll more the likely try to do a two tone paint job of some kind.
In case you haven't figured it out yet, I like to be original as much as I can, and I hate driving a car that everyone else, and their dog, has.  That's one of the reasons this car attracted me, but it's still doesn't quite meet my vision of the perfect car; however, it's the closest I've been able to find in my years of searching.  It'll probably never meet my vision, but only because of a few minor detail such as RWD vs. FWD and simple interior cosmetics.  I still love this car, more then any of the other three cars I've owned, and I hope to have it driving around for many years to come as my daily driver that kicks but and looks good doing it.
