HYPERTERMINAL SETUP:
Click on the The Windows 95 Start Buttonbutton and go to Program Files.
Then Accessories and click on Hyperterminal.
The below window will be displayed.
The HyperTerminal Window
Double Click on the Hypertrm icon to start the program.

You will be presented with a Connection Description window.
Type in the BBS/connection name in the Name: box.
You may also pick an icon or the connection by scrolling through the Icon: menu.
Click on OK to continue.
New Connection Description
A Phone Number window is displayed.
Fill in the Phone number: of the BBS.
Find the pull down menu next to Connect using:
It should be set to your Modem.
If not you may not have a modem, or it may not be configured correctly.
Click OK to continue.
Put in The Phone number
A Connect window will display.
Click Dial to connect.
Click Dial to Dial in
When exiting it will ask if you wish to save.  ClickYes.
Be sure to Save on Exit
To reconnect go back to HyperTerminal, then click on the Icon labeled as the desired connection.

Other important HyperTerminal Settings:
Fonts: HyperTerminal my not properly display ANSI colors and characters.
To fix this a different font must be selected.  You may first need to cancel out the Dial window.
Click on View Then Font.
Let's pick a New Font
The Font window should appear.  In the Font: menu select Terminal.
The Click on OK.  This should take care everything.  Dial in and Enjoy.
